Jonathan Cotterill-Bolsover - Personal Statement

'My life path has forged a deep, personal understanding of the family and civil court system, empowering me to become a dedicated support mechanism for others.

I know first hand the emotional toll that legal disputes can take on a family, my life experiences lit a fire within me to help families find a better and more supportive way of approaching matters. Later, as a foster carer of 15 years and a father of four, I gained invaluable insight from working with hundreds of vulnerable children and families. My professional expertise, honed through my own bespoke training company that supported organisations working with vulnerable people and children, is built on a proven track record of helping people in complex situations. This unique combination of lived experience and professional skill allows me to provide guidance that is both empathetic and informed.

My work is further strengthened by my qualifications in Psychology and Social Science, which provide a robust academic grounding for my approach. I'm currently a law student and worked as a lead support worker with a leading national organisation where I dedicated my time to providing frontline support to individuals like you. This hands-on experience has given me a deep, practical understanding of a wide range of family and civil law situations. I worked with and alongside hundreds of clients over the phone, face to face and in court.

Clients often come to me feeling unconfident, nervous, and out of their depth. My single greatest goal is to transform that anxiety into empowerment. I'm here to guide you and to ensure you have the clarity and organisational help you need to make your own best decisions. Let's work together to make sure your voice is heard, because you deserve to be heard.'
